Button Crochet Purse

Free Crochet Purse Pattern With Written and Video Instructions.

Crochet purses are great gifts to give, they are unique and one of a kind. The good thing about this pattern that it can be adapted and designed however you want. You can make it in any colour and the button detail is optional.


-MATERIALS -

· 4mm Crochet Hook

· DK yarn in yellow

· Darning needle and scissors

· 8.5cm purse clasp

· 2 x 1inch buttons

· Fabric for lining


-ABBREVIATIONS-

· Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)

· CH – Chain

· ST – Stitch

· SL ST – Slip stitch

· SK ST – Skip stitch

· SC – Single crochet

· SC2TOG – Single crochet two together

· SC3TOG – Single crochet three together

· JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn

· FO- Fasten off

· T – Turn

Purse – Make 2 front and back

1. CH2, 8SC into the 2nd CH from hook {8}

2. 2SC into every ST around {16}

3. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 8 times {24}

4. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 8 times {32}

5. (SC3, 2SC into the next ST) 8 times {40}

6. (SC4, 2SC into the next ST) 8 times {48}

7. (SC5, 2SC into the next ST) 8 times {56}

8. (SC6, 2SC into the next ST) 8 times {64}

9. SC around {64}

10-12. SC32, CH1, T {32}

10. SC16, CH1, T {16}

Join and FO.



Joining the front and back of the purse together.

With the right sides together, it is now time to join the two pieces together. Re-attach yarn in the first stitch from row 10 of the previous pattern (on both pieces). Now inserting the hook through consecutive stitches on both pieces, single crochet them together, by SC across the 32 stitches.
